The Australia India Business Council recently hosted a CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Indian Startup Delegation in Sydney.
The delegation was led by Vijay Kumar Ivaturi, Co-founder & CTO, Crayon Data India Pvt Ltd. Speaking with The Australia Today Mr Ivaturi explained the purpose of this delegation.
Madhu Vasanthy is Senior Director – Start-ups at Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). She told Pallavi Jain that in 2023 alone they have facilitated the growth of about 60 India startups considering global opportunities, and that one of their focus is to facilitate the growth of women innovators.
The delegation consisted of representatives from several sectors including, drones, robotics and AI. Founder of Akin Analytics Janaki P who was part of the delegation told us why they are looking at expanding into the Australian market.
Several business leaders shared their insight at the event on how the ecosystem can be energised to accelerate collaboration in the startup space between the two countries including Jodi McKay, AIBC National Chair and Director Australia-India CEO Forum, Irfan Malik, AIBC National Associate Chair, Alex Retzlaff, Managing Partner Unify Ventures, Chris Kirk, Group Chief Executive Officer Stone & Chalk, Bradley Delamare, CEO, Tank Stream Labs and Preethi Mohan, Founder Niceto and Co-Founder Press Play Ventures.
